Our History
Glenn Lenhard, our owner and CEO, has been working in the automotive industry since 1973. He started his career at independent auto repair shops and dealerships in Rochester, New York, and eventually moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1979. Glenn's passion for British cars led him to open Bay Imports in 1979, where he honed his skills in repairing and restoring British classic cars. In 1991, Glenn decided to focus on British cars exclusively, and Glenn's MG and British Car Repair was born.
Our Team
At Glenn's MG and British Car Repair, we take pride in our experienced and knowledgeable team. Our team includes:
- Cory Redmond, Technician: Cory has been with us since 2007 and has an incredible ability to diagnose and repair MGs quickly and efficiently.
- James Morris, Technician: James comes from a family of sports car enthusiasts and has extensive knowledge of British cars. He owns several British classics, including an Austin Healey 3000 MK II that was featured in Classic Motorsports Magazine.
- Craig Blair, Technician: Craig has a background in custom fabrication and modern European vehicles and is always looking for creative solutions to repair and restore British classics.
- Gordon Cutting, Service Writer: Gordon has years of customer service experience and is learning more about British cars to better assist our customers.
Our Facility
Our facility was originally built in 1985 as a detailing space for vehicles sold at the 3445 Car Store. When we moved in 1999, we found a photo of an early MGB sitting in front of the building! Our shop was designed to provide a versatile space for our team to complete restorations and repairs that stray from the ordinary. Equipped with six lifts and enough interior space to shelter seventeen vehicles on rainy days, our facility is designed to provide the best possible service to our customers.
