Harms Auto Repair is a mobile auto repair company based in Newton, Kansas. Our goal is to provide top-notch auto repair services, right at your doorstep. Lindley Harms, the owner and operator of Harms Auto Repair, is a Certified ASE Master Auto Technician with over 10 years of experience. He is committed to providing honest and high-quality auto repair services to the Newton Kansas area, including nearby communities like Hesston and Walton. Being raised in the area, Lindley understands the importance of family, honesty, and integrity. He was born and raised in Newton, KS and attended a technical training school in Wichita, where he went through their Automotive Technician program. He has worked at dealerships, used car dealers, and at independently owned repair shops since 1994. Lindley is an ASE Certified Master Technician since 1998 and one of the highlights of every year is the time that he volunteers at New Tribes Mission (a non-profit missions organization) in Missouri. During the week, literally hundreds of vehicles for missionaries from around the world are repaired. It is always a busy and rewarding time.

We understand that technology has made it possible for equipment to be small and portable, and we have taken advantage of this by using an OTC Genesis for on-board diagnostics and repairs. Vehicles of today are operated by computers, and our hand-held scanners and meters are all in small carrying cases that we have on-board. We take pride in leaving no mess behind and taking extra precautions not to leave anything behind.

When your check engine light (SES light) is on or you have a drivability problem, we take the hand-held scanners with us to record and check information while driving the car. This is common practice now in dealerships and most repair shops. Technology has made it more convenient for the mobile repair service. For today's repairs, diagnostics is sometimes half of the repair. With modern electronics, this makes it a real challenge - even for the best technicians. There is a minimum charge to try and diagnose a problem because it can take up to an hour or more to find the problem.
