Mid-County Coop was born in 1935 from the desire to provide Carver County with reliable petroleum products. Over time, our commitment to the community and the evolving needs of our patrons have driven us to expand far beyond our initial scope. Today, Mid-County Coop stands as a comprehensive agricultural and energy solutions provider, owned and operated by the very people we serve.

A Rich History of Growth and Service

Our journey has been marked by significant milestones. We started as a petroleum supplier, establishing our first gasoline outlet in Waconia in 1936 and soon after, implementing bulk petroleum storage in Watertown. The years that followed saw the construction of service stations in Mayer and Cologne, solidifying our presence in the community. As agricultural needs grew, we built a bagged fertilizer warehouse in Cologne in 1956 and strategically acquired bulk petroleum businesses and oil routes, continuously expanding our service area.

The late 20th century ushered in a new era for Mid-County Coop. We merged with MN Victoria Oil, acquiring their assets and expertise, further strengthening our market presence. The purchase of several agronomy facilities and the expansion into convenience stores marked a significant shift towards becoming a one-stop shop for the communities we serve.

Our commitment to convenience and customer satisfaction led to the establishment of a Holiday Stationstore in Cologne in 2009. After franchising with Holiday, we further expanded with a Holiday Stationstore in Waverly in 2019, continuing to provide our patrons with a full range of fuel, food, and retail options.
