Our story began when David Taylor, a seasoned mechanic with a passion for fixing cars, took over SouthGate Chevron from his father-in-law, who had owned it since 1963. David's love for cars was sparked by watching his father build engines in their home garage and working on his own cars in high school.
As the years passed, David's son, Cameron, grew up surrounded by the sights and sounds of an auto repair shop. He spent countless hours in the shop, learning the ins and outs of the trade from his father. In 1995, the Taylor family decided to break away from Chevron and establish their own independent auto repair shop, SouthGate Automotive.
