Master Tech Auto Repair is a family-owned and veteran-owned automotive repair shop in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Our story began in December 1996 when Ari Gordon and Tammy Kubatek opened the doors to their business. Ari, a former Navy diver, had always been fascinated by engines and decided to pursue his passion by learning to repair them. He attended the Automotive Technical Institute at night while still serving in the Navy. After his honorable discharge, Ari and Tammy moved to Rio Rancho, New Mexico, where they started their own business. With no savings and maxed-out credit cards, they took a huge risk by pouring their hearts and souls into building a customer-centered business.

Ari's unconventional upbringing, growing up in the 1970s in Chimayo, New Mexico, had a profound impact on his approach to business. His parents, hippie pioneers, instilled in him a strong sense of self-reliance and resourcefulness. This influence is evident in the way Master Tech Auto Repair conducts its business, prioritizing customer satisfaction and using environmentally friendly practices.
