Our History

Dempster Auto Rebuilders, Inc. began with a vision of providing top-notch quality auto body repair to our friends and neighbors in Evanston. Over the years, we have grown and evolved, but our commitment to quality and customer service has remained the same. For four generations, we have worked together to create a close-knit team, fostering a family-like environment that allows us to produce the highest quality repairs in the shortest time possible.

Body Work Repair

Our expert technicians will repair and replace damaged parts, including sheet metal, plastic, sheet molded compounds, steering and suspension components, exhaust systems, and other related components.

Refinishing

Our state-of-the-art refinishing process involves restoring corrosion protection and color/clear coat finishes to match the original factory finish. We use a computerized paint mixing system to ensure accurate color matching and have reduced our carbon footprint by 80% by using the latest waterborne paint system.

Unibody (Frame) Service

Our technicians are certified by ASE and I-CAR to perform highly skilled operations on modern vehicles that no longer have frames. We use two unibody straightening units to bring vehicles back to factory specifications.

Alignment

We utilize a laser alignment system to ensure the most accurate alignment possible for our customers.

Detailing

Our detailing service includes interior and exterior detailing, ensuring that your vehicle looks brand new for years to come.

Insurance

We accept insurance work from most insurance companies and work closely with them to ensure a smooth process.

Quality Warranty

We guarantee all work, including any defects in our workmanship or materials, for as long as you own your vehicle. Our refinishing is warranted against solvent blistering, peeling, hazing, or excessive loss of pigmentation, and we do not use used parts without customer authorization.

Certification

Our staff has been certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), The Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR), Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS), as well as General Motors, Toyota Motors, and PPG Paint.

Community Involvement

We are proud to be active members of the Evanston community and are dedicated to giving back. We have been a team sponsor for Little League baseball for over 28 years and have served as President of the Rotary Club of Evanston and the Evanston Chamber of Commerce.
